Additional information regarding the SAT exam - from College Board/SAT Website:  As schools continue to navigate uncertainties due to the coronavirus, the top priorities for College Board are the health and safety of students and educators.  There is limited testing capacity in certain areas due to public health restrictions and high demand.  While the College Board cannot directly control test center capacity and availability, we’re working to ensure as many students as possible are able to test safely.  Test centers may close before the administration.  We are asking test centers to report closures to the College Board as soon as possible in order to help ensure students are informed and to reduce stress and uncertainty ahead of test day.  We also recommend students check directly with the test center, including the test center’s website, on the morning of the test.

Note:  Per the website, UC’s will be "test-optional" for fall 2021 and fall 2022. Freshman applicants are not required to submit SAT test scores.  Test optional means the student will choose whether or not to submit SAT scores with the application, and the application will still receive full consideration.

Note per the CSU website:  The California State University (CSU) will temporarily suspend the use of ACT/SAT examinations in determining admission eligibility for all CSU campuses for the 2021-2022 academic year.

SAT fee waiver:  When registering for the SAT exam, you will get to a point where it will request a fee waiver code.  Either the fee waiver code will be in the system already or it will ask you if you have a fee waiver code.  If you need a fee waiver code, email Ms. Richardson (College & Career representative) at drichardson@vvuhsd.org to request one.  You will get your fee waiver code via email.  Note that you get only one (1) fee waiver which will cover 2 SAT exams (with or without essay), 6 subject exams, unlimited college applications, and unlimited scores.  So keep your SAT fee waiver code in a safe place for future reference.  Your scores will post to your Collegeboard account.
